Frances Lynch 1995 - OS 124 SH 758369 R3 This natural boss of rock is strengthened and topped by a stone mound which was originally revetted with drywalling, now badly ruined. Edward I wrote a letter from here on 1 July 1284, but it is obviously an earlier Welsh castle.
