Although medieval Welsh castles will always be the primary focus of the Castles of Wales website, it is also our intention to feature certain other ancient and historic sites and monuments on our pages as well. Below you will find a list of sites ranging from the Bronze Age through the post-medieval period. Some of these monuments, like the Christian crosses found at Carew and Nevern, are already associated with medieval castles. As this section of the website grows, you may expect to see new pages on ancient burial mounds, standing stones and stone circles, Roman ruins, pre-medieval Christian sites, along with other historic sites that dot the Welsh landscape.

As always, we welcome visitor contributions to these pages. Enjoy!
