elow are the results of our ongoing Welsh castle poll as voted by visitors to the site. The scoring is simple. Points have been awarded for 5 places; a first place vote is worth 5 points, a second place vote is worth 4 points, a third place vote is worth 3 points and so on. If someone mentions only one castle 5 points are awarded. If someone mentions several castles and indicates no preference, 5 points are awarded to each castle mentioned. Castles must score at least 10 points to be ranked. Castles marked with an English flag are Norman, while those marked with a Welsh flag are castles of the native princes of Wales. Keep in mind that several castles saw both Welsh and Norman building periods. Thanks again to everyone who participated in the poll!
